an interesting collection of white images... i don't know why but the debutante's delight makes me smile.
one line was puzzling to me, it sounds like the name of a painting and then the name of the painter? i'd not heard of either, and i wonder if you really need both - esp since it breaks the pattern.

"Aurora Leigh" is not a painting. It is a verse novel by Elizabeth Barrett Browning. The main character wears white. The author Samuel Clemens, aka Mark Twain, also wore white in his later years.
oh... ashes on my head :-) thanks for filling two of the many gaps in my knowledge. in fact i am a bit embarrassed i didn't know about the browning novel. i shall have to look it up sometime.
