"Croft of Light" is a forum for poetry, photography, and philology (the love of language). With Emily Dickinson as a tutor, Dag Hammarskjold as a mentor, and Noah Webster as a teacher, I hope to express light through lyric verse. Many of the texts are psalms, meant for musical accompaniment. My style favors simplicity and sincerity. My voice can be comic or serious. My tone may be innocent or ironic. Some of the pieces are just for practice. Respectful responses and comments are welcome.

nice smooth flow. sometimes keeping it simple is the best way of saying something.
i just posted another draft. care to have a looksie?
Yes, I would like to see your other draft. I assume that you mean on your website, so I will go there next. I leave for England tomorrow.
ah. you must have run out of time. so you didn't see the summer feet i posted in response to your comment, or the drafts. :-) we had the same thought about the feet of that statue and i actually took a watery picture just before you posted your comment. coincidence? we think not. lol. anyway. it's not going anywhere.
I just found your blog and I LOVE IT!!! It is great. Keep up the beautiful poetry. I love how subtly unadorned your verse is. You say what you want to say simply, yet that simplicity has levels of meaning. I especially enjoyed your parable about art.
thanks!
hope you had a safe and enjoyable trip! i also hope new ideas, new words, new poems will come out of the experience. let me know when you're back.
love,
acb
