TALENTS

“Trust yourself,” He counseled –
How? When I’m so weak?
“Trust the Lord,” He countered –
“Faith is not oblique.”

“You are not a stranger
To the Spirit’s script.
The parable is clear.
Do well. You’re equipped.”

Trust has much to teach me –
I have such to gain –
Confidence is easy
Once you swallow pain.
