The gentleness to bless?

Did Jesu really pluck the lyre
With thundering command –
With music as Salvation’s strings –
With lightning in His hand?

Did Jesu really make sweet noise
Upon a psaltery?
With infinitely mellow voice
Did Jesu sing for me?
