NOTEBOOK PSALM

NOTEBOOK PSALM

This verse is like an Amulet –
A frontlet for my eyes –
A scripture for remembering
The statutes that I prize.

A parchment for my ponderings –
A chaplet for my deeds –
A manuscript recovering
My covenants and creeds.

I really like this one. I looked up the word "frontlet" and learned that a frontlet can be either the ornament on the forehead, as described, but it can also be an ornament on the front of an altar or the ornamental border to an altar cloth. This is a neat little poem.
