Walking through mirrors of water –
Skipping through windows of brightness –
Running up stairways of thunder –
Riding up towers of lightning.

"Croft of Light" is a forum for poetry, photography, and philology (the love of language). With Emily Dickinson as a tutor, Dag Hammarskjold as a mentor, and Noah Webster as a teacher, I hope to express light through lyric verse. Many of the texts are psalms, meant for musical accompaniment. My style favors simplicity and sincerity. My voice can be comic or serious. My tone may be innocent or ironic. Some of the pieces are just for practice. Respectful responses and comments are welcome.
