THE REST OF MY LIFE

My new job is to sleep enough,
To keep quiet for eight hours,
To shower my mind clean from grime,
To free my soul from useless stress,
To bless my brain and calm my heart,
To start afresh when morning shines,
To line my thoughts with books of dreams,
To stream my work and words anew.

ha! love all the hidden little rhymes. (i call them in-rhymes for some reason, always have, but i'm starting to suspect it's not a real term)

there is a nice feel to this poem and the in-rhymes give an interesting structure. you know i like to play around with those things too, i just am quite partial to them. :-)

the poem stands well on its own and gives its message in a convincing way.
